The largest Brazilian film festival outside of Brazil

The festival encompasses four programs: *Competitive*, Non-Competitive,

Bra-zoo-kah (*films by Brazilians living abroad*), and *Brazil Through

Foreign Eyes* (films by non-Brazilian filmmakers about Brazil). In the

Competitive Program short, mid-length, and feature films are competing for

the Golden Maple Award.


Some of the films that will be screened during the 2013 BRAFFTV: Buddies,

Cine Holliúdy, The Invisible Collection, Marcelo Yuka, Eternal Amazon,

Taina – An Amazon Legend, Helio Oiticica, Trust Me, A Long Journey, Meeting

Sebastião Salgado, and many others.

The Festival also includes activities related to the film industry, and

encourages business opportunities between the two countries.


Culture and Education!

Education is paramount to the festival. This year the festival´s team

partnered with the University of Toronto and the Federal University of Rio

Grande do Norte to present “I BRAFFTV Film & Media International

Conference 2013”. The Conference was created in order to introduce an

educational space within the festival where researchers and practitioners

can discuss and present their research and work in film and media.
