 There are many reasons to choose the state of Amazon as your next travel destination. For those of you who love nature, Amazon state provides many tourism options. With 1.5 million square kilometres of natural beauty, the Amazon has a dense forest and a large number of rivers that, along with rich fauna, make up a paradisiacal setting.

The state of Amazon is almost entirely covered by the Amazon Rainforest, 98% according to the National Institute for Space Research (INPE).  It is known as the world’s lungs. More than 20 percent of the world’s oxygen is produced there. The Amazonian Rain Forest takes up nearly half of the national territory. It is home to 500,000 species of plants on record, the greatest biodiversity on the planet. Its rivers transport 15% of the world’s supply of freshwater to the sea, yet it is inhabited by only 16 million people.
